Best Powder Coating Industrial Heat Infrared Curing Lamp for Drying

An infrared curing lamp uses focused IR radiation to heat and cure coatings, adhesives, and composite materials. By delivering heat directly into the substrate—rather than heating the surrounding air—it achieves rapid, clean, and energy‑efficient curing. we manufacture IR lamps 14 years. can make the lamps with Gold reflector or ceramic reflector for target heating .

Infrared Curing Lamp for Powder Coating and Industrial Drying

YFR infrared curing lamps provide non-contact radiant heat for powder coating, paint, varnish, adhesive and industrial drying processes. Infrared energy is directed toward the coated part, allowing the heating zone to respond to production timing without relying only on heating a large volume of circulating air.

Selecting the Emitter Type

Emitter class Reference wavelength Selection consideration
Short wave Approximately 0.78–1.4 µm Fast response and high-intensity surface heating.
Fast medium wave Approximately 1.4–2.5 µm Balances response with absorption in many coatings and plastics.
Medium wave Approximately 1.4–3.0 µm Often considered for water-based layers, wood finishes and moisture drying.

The most suitable emitter depends on coating chemistry, colour, film thickness, substrate, part geometry and required temperature profile. A process test is recommended before changing wavelength class.

Typical Applications

  • Powder-gel and cure stages for metal components.

  • Flash-off and drying of wet paint or varnish.

  • Adhesive activation and laminate bonding.

  • Coating and ink drying in printing or converting lines.

  • Preheating parts before coating or assembly.

System Design Information

Provide the part material, coating system, part dimensions, conveyor speed or batch cycle, required peak temperature, available oven space and electrical supply. Lamp spacing, working distance, reflectors, ventilation and power control should be designed together.

For replacement lamps, send the original code, voltage, power, total length, heated length, cross-section, end structure and photos. Do not assume that a lamp with similar length has the same wavelength or electrical loading.

Installation and Maintenance

  • Use qualified personnel for electrical installation.

  • Keep the quartz clean and allow for thermal expansion.

  • Maintain the specified clearance from parts and combustible materials.

  • Inspect cables, terminals, reflectors and mounting clips during routine maintenance.

  • Follow the coating supplier’s time and temperature requirements.
