The Process Challenge

Hot-plate welding can expose glass fibers and wear non-stick coatings. Frequent plate maintenance can reduce availability and affect the joining surface.

The Infrared Approach

High-power short-wave infrared modules heat the two cylindrical joint faces without contact. After the melt layer forms, the heater withdraws and the halves are pressed together.
