This YFR infrared tungsten halogen lamp uses a customized filament arrangement identified as star-shaped tungsten wire. Filament geometry is one of the details that can distinguish an OEM or special-purpose emitter, particularly when a replacement must reproduce the heated position, electrical loading and mechanical layout of an existing lamp.
The filament shape alone does not define the complete heating performance. Voltage, power, heated length, quartz tube dimensions, gas filling, mounting position, reflector and control method must be considered together. For this reason, the product is evaluated from an original sample, drawing or complete technical specification.

| Detail | What to confirm | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Filament | Shape, heated position, support points and cold sections | Helps reproduce the required radiation zone and mechanical stability. |
| Electrical rating | Voltage, power and control mode | Ensures compatibility with the machine power supply. |
| Quartz envelope | Tube diameter, total length and heated length | Confirms fit, clearance and heating coverage. |
| End structure | Pinch, ceramic end, cap, cable and connector | Matches the lamp holder and wiring arrangement. |
| Optical direction | Clear tube or reflector coating, coated angle and orientation | Controls how radiant energy is directed toward the workpiece. |
Custom tungsten halogen emitters can be evaluated for rapid-response heating, laboratory and equipment testing, localized drying, plastics processing, adhesive activation and OEM heating assemblies. A star-shaped filament may also be required when replacing a lamp whose original filament layout is part of the machine design.
Suitability must be confirmed from the actual process and lamp data. YFR does not recommend substituting a different filament construction solely on the basis of similar overall dimensions.
Original lamp code, equipment model and application.
Clear photos of the entire lamp, filament, both ends and connector.
Voltage, power, total length, heated length and tube diameter.
Filament drawing or close-up photos with dimensional references.
Reflector coating, heating direction and mounting orientation.
If the lamp is damaged and cannot be measured reliably, the equipment manual, purchase record or an undamaged sample from the same machine can reduce identification risk.
YFR can review both new designs and replacement emitters. For a new application, provide the material, heated area, working distance, cycle time and electrical limits. For replacement work, an original sample or dimensioned drawing is preferred.
