Semi-white reflector infrared lamps are used in PET blow-molding ovens to direct radiation toward preforms and manage rearward heat. A successful replacement or upgrade must match the electrical circuit, heated length, coating orientation, holder geometry and oven cooling—not only wattage.
The coated side redirects part of the radiation and changes the thermal environment behind the lamp. Coating angle and orientation must match the oven design. It does not eliminate the need for external reflectors, cooling or safe clearances.
Record voltage, wattage, overall length, heated length, tube diameter, cold ends, cap style, lead direction and reflector coverage. Use the machine model and original part number where available, supported by photographs and measurements.

Begin from the approved recipe at controlled output. Record zone currents, preform temperature profile, neck condition, bottle wall distribution and visual defects. Change one zone or cooling variable at a time.
If the oven behaves differently after replacement, check coating rotation, heated length, lamp spacing, reflector cleanliness, cooling and supply voltage. A lamp may fit the holder yet heat a different part of the preform.
