Separate Air Temperature from Radiant Comfort

Infrared heaters warm exposed people and surfaces directly. A cold air reading does not automatically mean the radiant system is ineffective, and a warm ceiling does not prove the occupied zone is receiving useful radiation.


Check Coverage and Line of Sight

Confirm heater height, angle, spacing and obstructions. Racks, doors, vehicle lifts and structural members can block radiation or leave cold edges between heater patterns.


Inspect Lamp and Reflector Condition

Look for a failed or darkened lamp, damaged quartz, contaminated surfaces, loose contacts, discoloured terminals and a dirty or distorted reflector. Follow safe isolation and cooling procedures before inspection.

No. Record conditions in the occupied zone and consider radiant exposure as well as air temperature.

Can any lamp with the same length be installed?

No. Voltage, wattage, heated length, connections and construction must also match.
